Station Rose/STR (Elisa Rose: Visuals, Gary Danner: Sounds) wird einen ca. 100m2 grossen Messestand als Webcast-Lounge gestalten und kuratieren. Diese wird sowohl als begehbare Medien-Installation, als auch als Echtzeit-Sendestation erlebbar sein. Die Künstler sind anwesend.
Station Rose hat festgestellt, dass Kunst im Netz, hierbei besonders Streaming/ Webcasting, noch nicht als Thema bei Kunstmessen präsent ist. STR schlug daher der Art Frankfurt einen solchen Programmpunkt mit dem Titel "WEBCAST-LOUNGE " vor. Damit ist die Art Frankfurt ist die erste Kunstmesse, welche Kunst im Netz Platz einräumt.

An den Abenden während der Messe wird von 18-20h eine Livesendung von der Lounge aus in das Internet gestreamt, beziehungsweise werden Streams von ausgesuchten Künstlern und Künstlergruppen aus dem World Wide Web projeziert.
Am ersten Abend, zur Vernissage, wird STR eine audio-visuelle-Live-Jam-Session streamen. Während der Messe wird es für die Besucher ausserdem die Möglichkeit geben, archivierte Webcast - rm.files über www.stationrose.com abzurufen.
Es wird eine speziell gestaltete Sitz-Lounge eingerichtet, die sich modular an die Sendestation anschmiegt, auch veränderbar ist, wenn es die Situation erfordert. Projektionen tauchen die Webcast-Lounge in das passende Flüssig-Design, welches von STR & Gästen jederzeit geändert, upgedated werden kann.
Diese Installation ist eine audio-visuelle Installation und ein Ort zum Verweilen zugleich. Sie trägt die hypermediale Handschrift von Station Rose. Elisa Rose übernimmt die visuelle Gestaltung der Projektionen, Lichtkästen und der Installation, Gary Danner das Sounddesign.

Station Rose/STR (Elisa Rose & Gary Danner) will create and curate the Webcast Lounge, set up in a booth of 110 m2. The Lounge can be experienced both as an accessible installation as well as a real-time webcasting station. The artists will be present.
STR had noticed that net art, especially streaming/webcasting, has never been present as a topic at art fairs. So STR decided to suggest this as a topic to Art Frankfurt, thus being the first art fair to make room for art in the net.
STATION ROSE Webcast-Lounge
Between 6 and 8 p.m. there will be a live STReam from the Lounge, and/or live streams from selected artists/groups/stations will be projected on the
walls of the Lounge. At the evening of the opening STR will stream & perform a live audio-visual performance from the Webcast Lounge.
For 5 days, vsitors will have the opportunity to attend live webcasts or simply relax in the Lounge and watch archived webcast files, selected net art, and the flowmotion of the installation while listening to changing soundloops over the P.A. The Webcast Lounge has been fitted out with specially designed seats. Projections are beamed around the room, bathing it in a most fitting fluid design, which will be influenced by the artists, the visitor and the web.
This installation is an audio-visual installation and a place to hang out at the same time, a further development of STRs Gunafa Clubbings/Internet Lounges, begun in 1992. Elisa Rose is in charge of the projections, light boxes and the visual design, Gary Danner handles the sounds.
Before and during the art fair STR act as artists and curators, selecting net art projects beforehand. Different to the usual curating model, artists invite artists, and the Webcast Lounge is a media installation, a piece of, art in itself. Some artists will be invited to STReam their content live into the Lounge from around the globe, others will perform live and present their work in person. Collaborative sessions in realtime as well as lectures are in preparation. The artists/groups/stations will be disclosed at www.stationrose.com
